Prof. VINH Q. T. DANG got his PhD in McMaster University, Canada and he is now Assistant Professor in University of Macau.

He has published 12 papers in international journals, 11 of which in SSCI journals,

accounting for about 1/3 of all SSCI publications in the Department of Economics

at the University of Macau in the last six years.

His name and publication have been cited in industry-leading financial media.

His opinion on China’s capital outflows and tri-lemma was reported in Bloomberg

Businessweek article “China’s Capital Flight” published on January 15th 2016. His paper “China’s Capital and ‘Hot’ Money Flows: An Empirical Investigation”,

published in Pacific Economic Review, and comments on the cause and consequence

of the sudden and large devaluation of the Chinese RMB in August 2015 were

cited in “China’s devaluation sets up clash on trade, market” article in

MarketWatch, a digital news and publication of Dow Jones, which also owns the

Wall Street Journal.
